A quieter, more personal way to experience the island.
Gozo is often described as peaceful. It is easy to explore, distances are short, and most places can be reached within minutes.
Still, not every traveller enjoys experiencing a place entirely alone.
Some prefer a slower rhythm. A shared walk. A conversation that unfolds naturally alongside the landscape.
Over time, this led to something simple.
Occasionally, I spend time exploring parts of Gozo together with visitors — informally, without a fixed plan, and without the structure of a guided tour.
What it feels like
There is no set itinerary.
A day might begin in Victoria with coffee and quiet streets. It might move towards the coast, where the light changes along the cliffs. Sometimes it ends at sunset in places like Dwejra, where the horizon opens fully to the sea.
On other days, the experience leans more into culture.
We might visit the Cittadella in the late afternoon, step into a small church just before evening Mass, or attend a local event if one happens to be taking place.
Depending on the season, this can include village feasts, concerts or even an evening at the opera in Gozo’s historic theatres.
Nothing is fixed in advance. The day follows what feels right.
Who this tends to suit
This way of exploring Gozo tends to resonate with travellers who:
- prefer not to experience a place entirely alone
- enjoy a calm, flexible structure rather than a planned itinerary
- are drawn to quieter landscapes, coastal walks and small moments
- are visiting Gozo for a short time and want a more natural introduction
A different kind of experience
This is not a tour.
There is no guiding, no fixed route and no set schedule.
It is simply shared time on the island — shaped by conversation, surroundings and the pace of the day.
For some, it becomes the most memorable part of their time in Gozo.
If you’re considering it
Availability is limited and depends on timing.
If the idea resonates, you can send a short message with your dates and what you have in mind.
There is no obligation — just a simple way to see if it might fit.
